Conquest of Paradise?

Classical Sparks left me with a question.

Tomorrow is Waitangi day.
Celebration of the birth of a nation.

Tonight they played Vangelis, Conquest of Paradise, Crusader Theme Song, also theme song to 1492, Conquest of Paradise, the story of the conquest of the Americas by Columbus.


The had a Maori Kapa Haka group performing a Haka while the song was being played.

And so the Maori Kapa Haka group celebrating the Conquest of Paradise on the Day before Waitangi Day.

Am I reading into this one too much?
