Kenny and Christ...

I saw Kenny last night (Thanks Jen and Kineta), great movie, the story of a Plumber with a big heart and thick skin. He is criticized from all angles, but is still able to find purpose, friendship and a little romance through being a caring and honourable man who loves what he does. A solid 8.5 out of 10 for me.

Best quote (which I can print here) is "There is a smell in here that is going to outlast religion..."

Another good movie I've just caught the trailer for is "The Nativity Story"

Should be a great story, in time for Christmas.

The only problem is that after it comes out in theatres, we'll have to endure the countless Christian "experts" who have been starved of attention since the fracas of The Passion has died down, who feel they need to justify their ministries by pulling the movie apart and possibly ruining, what for many people could become, a Spiritually enlightening experience.

"This story means so much to people all over the world. I hope audiences can relate to the film on a personal level and find some inspiration to get through their own challenges and difficulties." says Director Catherine Hardwicke

Two movies about Christ figures?

One in a stable and one in a portaloo.

It is also interesting to note that possibly the equivalent of Jesus washing the feet of his disciples,

?"[Jesus] got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. ?? After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him."
(Jn 13:2-5).

...in today's society could be cleaning toilets or putting your hand down a portaloo toilet to retrieve a lost wedding ring of some stranger.
